Post Body

I’m sure most of us are familiar with this topic by now. Rumour has it that rockstar is remastering (or possibly remaking) GTA 3, VC, & SA, Possibly set to be released this year. Several articles seem to support these claims. Not sure if there is any legitimacy to these claims, but it’s worth speculating on.

IMO, as much as I would like a remake, I feel like it will be a port, perhaps to the extent of GTA 5’s port to the PS4 & XONE or RDR1’s backwards compatible 4K HDR update for the XBOX ONE X. I believe both VC and SA were ported for 8th generation, but were subpar in quality; I think the new port would be much better with 4K & 60FPS

However, rumours suggest that it may be a remaster/remake using UNREAL Engine 4, with better textures, animations etc. Some even suggest that the the game will make use of GTA 5’s RAGE Engine, though i think this is unlikely.

How do you all think rockstar will handle the supposed remaster (or remake)?

Will it be:

(1) REMAKE: A full blown remake with Unreal Engine 4 or RAGE (New animations/MOCAP, new assets etc)? - E.G, Mafia DE

(2) REMASTER: A decent remaster with better textures, lighting, and audio but with the original engine? - E.G, MW2 RM

(3) PORT: A port (better than previous ports of SA & VC) with higher resolution and frame rate? - E.G, RDR1 for XBOX ONE X - E.G, GTA 5 for PS4 & XBOX ONE (Though, GTA 5 for PS4/XONE had new features).
