A couple sentences I was wondering about
Post Body

Hi!

I'm trying to learn some greek and am starting off with some simpler sentences that I can use in everyday situations. I think that asking or saying that you are waiting or will wait for someone might be useful at times. Would it be right if I said this?

Θα περιμένω για σένα - I'll wait for you. I guess I could just go with the first two if I know the person?

Ιστι σοι περιμένω - Maybe I'm waiting for you; like casually and a bit jokingly saying that a person is late and you have been waiting.

Μπορείτε να με περιμένετε? - Could you wait for me

Also from what I can understand περιμένω is when I am doing it but why does it change to περιμένετε? Is it because it's directed towards you doing the waiting?
