And for gods sake, don’t add a huge stuck-on tablet and replace buttons and knobs with haptic feedback like VW did to the GTI.
Honestly, I’d want them to make incremental refinements like what was done moving from gen 1 to gen 2. Nothing drastic. Enhancements that adhere to the original light, simple, balanced and fun to drive ethos of the original formula. Staying true and not giving in to the conflicting voices and regulatory pressures that demand more safety, more efficiency, more speed, complexity and, ultimately weight. What good is progress if it costs you your soul?
So give me a little handful of more horse power perhaps (not that it really needs it), maybe a more upscale interior (even 2nd gen plastics feel so cheap), make the exhaust a token louder and then call it a day.
