On June 12th, r/GODZILLA went private in solidarity with third-party Reddit apps that are effectively being forced to shut down due to the new arguably hostile API changes, following the planned protest that thousands of subreddits are participating in. To see our full explanation for doing so and a rundown of the situation, see this previous post. We apologize for any inconvenience during this time, but we hope you understand how important this issue is for Reddit users, especially those who are disabled.

This was initially meant for at least 48 hours, but we decided to go on a little longer to follow any updates and make a decision among the mod team. After considering many factors, including but not limited to news/updates from Reddit itself and other subreddits' course of action, we have decided it is best to have a simple community vote on the matter and move forward based on it. Please participate in the poll included in this post and we will follow the majority vote.
