:Edit: Solved. For anybody else who runs into this problem, I downloaded a Chrome Extension called "Notifier For Gmail". I was able to configure that so it would give me notifications for archived e-mails within labeled folders.
Our company recently migrated from Outlook to Gmail. In Outlook I had rules to auto-move messages from the inbox to folders. I'd still get desktop notifications when I got these e-mails.
With Gmail, I created filter rules to auto-label and archive (so that my main inbox isn't cluttered); however, I am not getting desktop notifications for the e-mails that are being auto-sorted into these labels.
The Gmail help section suggests if I try the "Important mail notifications" instead of new mail notifications, that "you'll get notifications for everything marked as important," but I tried that and didn't find it to be accurate.
Is there any way to enable desktop notifications for auto-archived messages? If not, can somebody suggest a workaround that doesn't involve living in a very cluttered inbox?
