I've been trying to recover my dad's email for the past month. He has had this email for the last 20 or so years and has all of financial and otherwise accounts directed there.

It all started when Google prompted him to change his password. I changed it, but we later forgot the new password. So, I used the "Forgot Password" option.

Previously, the recovery phone number was used to receive the verification link. However, since this incident, the phone number is no longer receiving the link.

I then used the recovery email, which is my email, to receive the verification code. I get the email and enter the code during the verification process but keep receiving this message message.

"A sign-in link will be sent to x in 5 days. Google needs time to verify it’s you making this request. Learn moreIf you don’t see the email after 5 days, check your spam or junk folder."

I've waited 5 days, I never see the sign-in link in the inbox, junk, or spam folders. I've repeated this process multiple times, often waiting longer than the suggested period, but the result is always the same. Sometimes, it's 5 days, other times 7 or 14 days. I have exhausted all avenues.

Can anyone offer some help?
