I've got a 1992 Chevy 1500 with a 4.3. I was literally told today by what was probably my last chance at finding a mechanic close by( and that's 30 minutes away) that my truck is too old and they don't deal with OBD1 vehicles. The truck died while driving at highway speeds. It will crank but will not run. I tried spraying starting fluid and it didn't even budge. The tow truck driver told me to do that and said if it doesn't even remotely try to start with starting fluid then the fuel pump is probably not the problem and it's probably Spark. I don't know anymore than that but I'm desperate to figure out what is wrong because I can probably replace a part depending on what it is but I don't know what part to replace. If anybody can at least give me an Avenue to go down I would be very very greatly appreciated.
