My wife and I have been married for two years now. I’m in the restaurant industry and got a nice promotion in Jan 2019. We got married, bought a house, had a kid. Not rich by any means but the way things were going, our plan was for her to be a stay at home mom when our son was born.
Well, COVID hit, and hit hard. My industry in particular. Things have been trending in the right direction for a few weeks now and the light at the end of the tunnel is certainly getting bigger. I am NOT saying COVID is over or minimizing how awful it is at all, but in my profession things are only getting better.
Last night, my wife came home from work and just looked so exhausted. Tuesday is her long day- like any mom, her day starts at 600am with the baby’s breakfast. Then she scrambled to get ready for work and out the door while i take over for a little before I head out to work. My mom passed unexpectedly in December (she had just retired and was babysitter option 1,2,and3), but my in-laws have helped out tremendously and actually moved back up here temporarily from Florida.
As my wife looked me in the eye and told me how tired she was, i had this weird feeling growing inside me.
This thing could actually get to $100k a share. And if it does, she’ll never have to work again. We can pay off our mortgage, our debt, put some aside for George’s college fund, i can work my job and we can live comfortably- not extravagantly, but enough for us to not worry about who’s babysitting and who’s working 15 hour days and what not.
I am truly thankful for everyone who has been a part of this movement, and I will HODL with all you diamond handed banana eating apes until my bank account has 6 0’s in it (not including decimals).
