Got my first GLI at 16yrs old and I drove it until almost 300,000km. Absolutely fell in love with the car all over again when I upgraded in 2021.
I don’t think I’d ever go back to a manual after using the DSG though. Having the option to use the paddles on fast turns gives so much more control than one hand on the wheel & one hand on the gear shifter.
My dumbass took an entire year to realize I can also shift up/down with the gear shifter, not just the paddles…. It was hilarious when I found out; so used to driving a manual before that I didn’t realize most cars can do that😂
