Taking BDO indefintely?
Post Body

I've been taking BDO now 3-4 times daily for several months. I've been doing this on and off for around 8 years now, taking breaks for as long as 3-4 months. I had to switch over to BDO when GHB became basically unavailable in the US several years ago. I have 2 maybe 3 doses left and then I'm out.

I prefer GHB, but with BDO I get the following pros:

  • Increased confidence. I will talk to anyone with no fear.
  • Motivation. I can get take on any task that I would otherwise struggle with.
  • Greatly increased physical performance / cardio / strength. For example, I often take BDO before going to the gym and I have a 10x better workout. Does anyone know what is happening here? I've always been curious to know.
  • Mood is greatly improved.
  • Everything is (or at least seems) better. Food, sex, music, etc.

On the downside, the cons for me personally are:

  • I feel worse when it wears off than I would being totally sober.
  • For whatever reason, I get a burning sensation in my hands, but especially my feet.
  • Insatiable appetite. I cannot stop eating everything in sight. I'm sure I gain a lot of weight from this.
  • It wrecks my sleep.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe life is easier just taking it, but I would like to know the downsides to long term use. I can't find much info about this. I'm kind of scared of what lies ahead. In terms of GHB, I found this article written by a one Steven Fowkes that basically says there's not a lot of reasons he can find to not take it. I'm wondering if this would apply to BDO as well.

" With considerable pressure building to criminalize GHB in many states, CERI Executive Director, Steven Wm. Fowkes recently testified before a California State Legislature committee considering such a law. Steve, who is one of the most knowledgeable and respected people in the country on the subject of GHB (among other health-related topics), presented a powerful and persuasive case for keeping GHB legal and available. "

I'm feeling a bit lost. If anyone wants to talk about this further please feel free to DM me. Thank you for your time.
