Is “real” GHB any better than the GBL found in gel remover?

Like the title says. My only experience with GHB/GBL/BD is in gel remover from a major commerce giant. I think about trying GHB, but it is so expensive on the DN.
For those of you who have tried both, is real deal GHB significantly, better than the GBL found in gel remover?
