How to distinguish GBL from GHB
Post Body
It is possible to distinguish GHB solution from GBL solution with no tools, and even remove water that has been used to adulterate it.
- Make brine with 0.3-0.5g of sodium chloride per 1mL of water, and heat to 40*C using a hot tap to get everything dissolved.
- While still warm, add 1mL of the āGā and shake
- Place into the fridge. By the time it reaches about 10*C GBL will separate out from a saturated brine like oil and water, but GHB (which is dissolved in water) cannot do this.
- Once separated, it will stay separated unless it gets hot. G is more dense and sits on the bottom, unlike food oils.
1,4-BD will also do this, but it should freeze in the fridge step (high water content might change this).
Brine is more dense, so it will sink to the bottom.
