Should I stop taking PPI?
Post Body

Hi guys. I've been on pantoprazole for close to 2 years now. I didnt even realize until recently (after seeing posts here) that it's bad to take long term. At first, it greatly improved my symptoms. Over the last 4 or so months, it doesn't seem to help. I'm in constant pain, moreso than I was in the past it feels like. I cant sleep, my chest hurts, everything burns even water. I have to chew tums like candy (which i know is bad) to get enough relief to fall asleep for a couple of hours. I'm kind of at my wits end. I do have a hiatal hernia and I wonder if its gotten worse over time. Are there more natural ways of helping my symptoms, like probiotics? I already keep my diet pretty blah. Should I keep taking my meds? Any tips appreciated.
