Guys,
Thanks for having me in the group. My GERD really got out of control when for a month I had been having gastritis followed by light heartburn in the morning or after I eat. The gastritis and heartburn gets worse at night a few hours after dinner. Doctor told me I need a lifestyle change. I'm going to cut off all dietary sources which would be causing inflammation such as caffeine (that's like my alcohol lol) as well as acidic and gassy causing foods. In addition to a lifestyle change such as exercise, is there anything else I can do to heal from GERD? I know the sacrifice is worth avoiding any serious problems in the future. I am 5 ft 8 and I weight 172 lbs.
Update: I am currently on day 0 and I found out what my trigger food was. I ate some mutton curry that my mother in law made but only the mutton and that was at 1 pm. Been sufferinf since then even after taking my prescription that I was given today. Since I am an expat and I live overseas, I will share with you guys what I was given by the doctor.
Suntacid (aluminum hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate, simethicone), 2x a day after food
Doridone (domperidone BP, 10 mg), 2x a day before food.
Robeprazole sodium, 20 mg, 2x a day before food.
Is there anything else I can take to relax my stomach from feeling like a lava pit? (Other then staying away from trigger foods).
