So I've been doing quite well recently with my GERD, my acid reflux has been less frequent and while I still get the occasional heartburn I don't feel nauseous and I'm not having trouble sleeping.
I took some people's advice here about probiotic yogurt drinks which I've been having every day for breakfast and believe it has really helped. I also bought a wedge pillow to elevate my head and no longer have issues with morning nausea.
I could back on to the PPI whenever I want but I'd like to stay off it as long as I can as things are going well. I find that I can have fast food like McDonald's occasionally without any massive repercussions, some slight food coming back up feeling but not major. I'm only consuming Gaviscon 2 tablets a day compared to the 6-8 I was on a few weeks prior so here's hoping it continues.
