Tip 30 - Confidence
Ok, I’ll admit - this is more of an exam tip than a revision one but it’s still important anyway. By now you will have covered all of the content and you’ll be in the best place possible to do your exams. The information is still fresh in your brain and all your hard work is coming to an end. All you have to do now is exams. As you sit down in that chair and raise your pen, just remind yourself that you’re going to do great. Every piece of information is in your head somewhere and you’ve worked hard to get here. Treat the exam as an opportunity to show off your hard work, rather than something to get through. It’s your reward after six months of studying, it’s your chance to shine. Go into that exam hall with a positive mindset because you are going to do great. Don’t worry about overthinking it and don’t forget the basics: read each question very carefully, answer every one, check your answers and that you’ve filled in every gap at the end of the paper. Go over your answers quickly at the end with a fresh set of eyes and make any minor adjustments needed. And whatever you do, don’t forget to plan!! Even small notes/paragraph topics will be helpful in allowing you to finish the paper in time. Try and focus on clearing your mind, it’s going to be scary but you don’t have to give in to the fear. Positive mindsets all the way, if you are struggling - mark the question to go back to later and move on.
YOU’VE ALL GOT THIS!!!! You should be so proud of yourselves, no matter your result.
I hope the 30 days of revision tips were helpful to some people, if you want to see the other tips they’re all available on my page :) This was fun to do and I even learned some revision tips for myself in doing research.
Now, read over your notes quickly, have a hot shower and go to bed early for the next few weeks. Take each day as it goes and remember that this is a positive experience - even though it may feel stressful. Good luck to everyone doing their gcses/btecs/equivalents!!
