Tip 24 - Pay attention in lessons
Disclaimer: this tip is more relevant to people in year 10 and below, however it will be relevant for year 11s in revision sessions and people starting year 12 :)
If you pay attention during lessons you will be able to retain more information and having a good attitude towards your work means you will be able to grasp concepts faster. It also means revision will be easier as you will have spent more time concentrating on learning topics at school instead of school; it also makes homework less stressful if you have already paid attention to covering the topic. Lessons are great opportunities to fill gaps in your learning as you can ask teachers or classmates for help so you don’t have to spend time at home doing this. Something else people often forget is that paying attention to lessons also shows respect for the teacher and teaches you maturity, a useful life skill. And people who misuse lesson time are not only wasting their time but others’ too. Don’t underestimate how much of a difference actively partaking in lessons can make!
