Tip 23 - Learn how to prioritise
Prioritising work that you need to do or revise is an important skill not just for exams but also for real world situations. Start by making a list of everything you have to do or revise and then number everything from nearest deadline/largest workload/most difficult depending on the situation you’re in. For revision this would likely either be ordering topics by difficulty or how much content there is to do. Start from the top of your list and go down. Every few days take 10/20 minutes to go over in less detail the topics you put at the top of the list and have already completed (when you’ve revised it, write down the date 3 days in the future and when you see a date that matches your current day you will know which topic to go over again). This is a method of spaced repetition and also allows you more time for the more challenging/larger workload topics while still going down the list to go over everything no matter how small it is. Don’t forget to go over everything again at least once or twice during year 11 even if you think you’ve mastered the topic. When you’re trying to work out which topics to focus your revision on you can do past papers/topics questions and use the marks to identify the topics you need more work on.
