Tip 18 - Join study groups (online or in person)
Joining a study group will allow you to be motivated as others around you will be revising and working. It can also help you if you are struggling with consistency as you can ask people there to push you on when you need it. Study groups are also great for getting help with certain subjects, as others in your group can answer your questions quickly and explain relevant details, whereas googling the answer could provide information outside of the mark scheme; they can also help with up to date and relevant study advice. In general, study groups are a popular choice for students because of the support received and given to each member, and the company they provide. Many of these groups will meet up (virtually or online) and you can use these opportunities to revise and engage with others. However, one point to mention is that some people will find working alongside others to be distracting, so itโs always worth comparing your experiences studying alone vs with a group of people. Itโs also perfectly ok to mix up who you study with and when. Many people prefer setting their own timetable and holding themselves accountable, so do what works for you.
