Tip 17 - Read aloud (if you can!!)
There have been a few studies done in the past decade that have shown the benefits of reading aloud instead of silently. It has been shown to increase the amount of information that stays in your brain long term due to the act being active rather than passive. It can help to read your notes aloud during study time, however if you are unable to read aloud you can also annotate notes and jot down links and facts between the topic and others. This is another way to study actively. Just remember, studying should be active rather than passive if you’re aiming to remember more information; unless you’re reading over notes as a warm up or cool down :)
