Tip 12 - Break down large workloads
If you have a lot to get through, try separating it into different parts so the whole piece of work doesn’t feel as consuming. Add breaks as you go to keep yourself motivated, and make sure to keep a checklist of some kind nearby so you can check you cover everything. Something I do personally if I have a lot to get through is I’ll start the work and then when I get half of it done I’ll go and distract myself so I can come back to it with a refreshed mind. If you’re looking to review the work you’ve done on the same day make sure to distract yourself by doing something else for a bit first so that you are reviewing it with fresh eyes and it will stick more. Also, if you want to check work or you are struggling with a problem it can help to step away for a bit and return later to approach it from a different angle. In the exams, you can do this by marking pages with folded corners, just make sure that you double check you’ve returned to every question you needed to before the time is up. If you can’t remember something at first, chances are it will come back to you later in the exam when you cover similar topics. Never leave an answer blank.
