I'm Matthew, I've recently moved to Surrey (Camberley) for work, and I am single and ready to mingle haha.

I have a fair bit of anxiety around dating and meeting new people generally. It feels stupid, and I'm actually very social and friendly once I do know someone, I just really struggle overcoming that initial hurdle. I've been doing a lot to improve myself and grow over the last few years, and I'm confident that I'm able to be a really good partner for the right someone, but I've really struggled with actually meeting people and I would really appreciate some support.

I'm obviously looking to put myself out there and start dating, but even if we don't have that connection I would love to have a friend that I can talk to about this stuff and who is happy to support me (and vice-versa of course).

Some details about me: I'm white/British, 5'6, average build (a little chubby tbh), well-groomed/clean with glasses and short brown hair (I'm happy to share pics in dms). I would say I'm reasonably attractive, this is open to interpretation but if you're into cute dorky intellectual type guys then I think you'll be interested. I'm more of an introvert/nights in person but also I'm very chatty (especially when I'm interested in someone) and would like to grow out of my comfort zone a bit more. I graduated with a STEM degree last year and I am starting a job in my related field. I love cooking, more recently baking too, and I play piano (a bit of a Ross and Rachel on-again-off-again relationship). I watch anime on the occasion (most recently Frieren, would recommend) and I'm a massive Zelda nerd.

About you: I'm open to talk to all sorts of people, but being female and 18 are both strict requirements. I would say I would prefer someone in the age range of 20-26 but there is some flexibility there. Somebody not too far from me would also be great, but we can discuss that between ourselves.
