I'll be frank: I have admittedly been on a path of self-ruin this past month. Starting 2024 right and all. Trying to avoid the whole "drink until I can't feel anything" thing tonight and I'd rather not be alone with my own thoughts, so here I am. Don't get me wrong, I'd give my left kidney for a glass of whiskey right now, but apparently drinking doesn't solve all your problems. (Sounds fake, but whatever.)
Will not be leaving this post up long since I don't have the energy for a dozen different conversations - just looking for one person whose brain I can pick tonight so that I can have a distraction from my own. Will respond to the first person whose opening message is one of the two options:
A) puts a smile on my face.
B) delightfully dark, but funny
As to what YOU get out of taking the time to respond to this: I'm a sad bitch, sure. An optimist's worst nightmare. But for a like-minded pessimist, I'd like to think I'm a decent conversationalist who knows how to make light out of her own darkness.
