Hi everyone! I hope you're all happy and safe and comfortable, wherever you are and whatever you're doing tonight.

Winter is finally here and I'm looking for a friend with benefits (emphasis as much on the 'friend' as on the 'benefits', as emotional connection is very important to me) to keep each other warm! I'm open to it developing into something deeper if we really like each other, too :) I've tried the dating apps but I honestly find them demoralising in the way they dehumanise us and make us package ourselves as products for consumption; fuck that and fuck capitalism for doing that!

So, a bit about me: I recently finished a master's degree in linguistics which I'm very proud of, and have taken my first steps into the charity sector (I literally started my new job in research and engagement at a local charity last week!). My personal interests include languages (obviously), reading and creative writing, having deep and open conversations, and food. Fuck me, I love food. Cooking it, eating it, travelling to where it is. My whole life revolves around it, honestly. I also love to swim and to watch films, especially ones that make you cry, because if a film makes me cry it short-circuits my critical faculties and I automatically think the film is great; this has led to some questionable choices on my 'favourite films' list.

I have a very active social life and am very close to my family; I've been told by those I love that my best personality traits are my emotional intelligence, kindness and sense of humour. I'm 6'/182cm (I know a lot of guys lie about this but I swear I actually am, you can bring a tape measure to our first meeting and everything!), average-to-slim body type but with a lil' dadbod coming on around the belly. I'm well-groomed and take pride in the way I dress; I consider my style elegant and Italian-inspired, as I used to live in Italy (oh yeah, I can speak Italian. Language nerd, remember?).

I tend to like people who are intelligent and funny and kind, above all else. Physically I don't have a particular type, but I have noticed that I'm often drawn to tall and skinny girls, though that is by no means a dealbreaker! Just something I've noticed about my preferences.
