I didnāt start listening to suicide boys until around 2019 when I was going thru a rough patch w a shitty ex gf of mine. We ended up breaking up the next summer and I was then kicked out of my home. I started abusing drugs and alchohol and then I came across CLYDE on accident. And then I was hooked. I didnāt get into suicide boys early on because their music didnāt speak to me. But during that time in my life it did. I bought a ticket to the Grey Day Tour last year and went on Halloween. I love their music so much because it helped me get thru a time in my life I didnāt think I was ever going to beat. And now it seems with new fans joining the fan base because of tik tok and social media in general, you have to know the most underground song theyāve put out and their mothersā madden names to be considered a ātrueā fan. Idk itās just annoying that you canāt like music anymore because it sounds good and speaks to you. You have to be a bloody expert on the artists entire discography and come up.
I completely understand I've been listening since 2016, & I still don't know majority of there songs honestly. My opinion on this is probably just if you enjoy & are feeling what the artist is putting out there. Then it's fine you don't need to know there whole childhood, coming to an understanding & such bliss when you hear a song from any artist is enough & I think that's amazing because it's just a beautiful feel when you listen to something you truly enjoy. My only issue is probably when people jump on to something because the whole country & there moms out here doing a lil one, two step just for some views & not truly enjoying the song because they do, just for some trendy shit (whack š)
Sorry for the rant š
