This seller sold me a used key, see they've done this to other people the past month.

I tried to use it immediately after purchase, but it was already used. Timestamp of redemption will clearly be before my purchase, making it impossible that I used it.

That right there should be enough to get G2A to immediately fix this. Any legitimate website wouldn't allow this. Yet I am supposed to contact the very seller scamming me, as that's our only recourse allowed for the entire 1st 7 days (making the scams worse), and they are completely unresponsive.

What does it say about G2A that the same seller can do this repeatedly in the span of a month and nothing gets done?

Hey G2A, why would I ever use you again after this? Why would anybody? Severely regretting my choice of G2A over a competitor to save less than a dollar.

Update:

I've waited the 7 days required to file a claim, and now did just that, filed a claim.

During that 7-day period, the seller made no attempt at responding to my messages. The multiple reports, by myself and others, of this seller selling used keys in a short timeframe should be enough reason for G2A to accept my claim. They should also be investigating this seller's activity. It's a no-brainer honestly. And I've told them as much; if they don't provide a refund I'll be taking the actions suggested on this very thread.

I understand the response some of you have had, essentially "If the seller brings in money, G2A doesn't care". And to an extent I think you're 100% correct. However, if this is known to be the case, then more and more scammers will start selling fraudulent goods on the platform, thus further damaging G2A's reputation. And more importantly to them I assume, the more likely to take place things like chargebacks, FTC Fraud Reports, and Internet Crime Complaints will be. At some point I would think enough of those would become a problem for them. One can hope at least.

I heavily suggest that anyone who had/s a similar experience do the same.

Update 2: I decided to reach out to the Xbox Support web chat, initial agent was the opposite of helpful, also obnoxious and unprofessional. Requested escalation, supervisor was very helpful. They verified that the key was redeemed 14 days prior to when it was sold to me, and they sent me an email confirming this.

Took screenshots of this web chat and the email. How did G2A respond?

"The reason for the rejection lies in the fact that our refund option is only available for cases where customers have received a defective product, purchased from one of our marketplace sellers, where the seller has failed to offer a solution to the reported problem."

Which makes no sense. I provided proof direct from Microsoft, and the seller literally didn't respond at all.

I then filed a claim on the transaction in PayPal. Took weeks but finally they closed the case in my favor, and immediately I got the charge refunded.

For anyone on the fence: this should be more than enough evidence for you. Do not make the same mistake I did. Nobody should do business with this company, nor buy keys from Ronesansmarktcom on any other site (they are on several).

Oh and screw you G2A, seriously.
