Space habitats seem like a logical FIRST step to planetary or moon bases... Why has no one built or started building an O'Neil Cylinder space habitat?
An O'Neil Cylinder would be a great method of prolonged living in space with centrifugal force used instead of gravity. We could build a ship like this modularly and perhaps even use it before all of the pieces are in place.
