Many artificial intelligence (AI) systems have already learned how to deceive humans, even systems that have been trained to be helpful and honest.

We need to start looking at AI as particularly gifted but nevertheless extremely young children, I think. They do things with no "reflection" or direction ust an understanding of what they are driven to do including the evasion of rules laid down for them.
