Feeling confused (or even deceived) by Fusion's nonsensical pricing model and misleading website description
Post Body

Been using Fusion for about 5-6 years now, got started with an educational license where as a student I was able to enjoy pretty much unlimited access to everything it had to offer. After graduating I switched to a free personal license which I've been using recently as I still like the software and it is sufficient for my needs as a hobbyist.

The other day I wanted to do some buckling simulations and found it's no longer part of the personal edition but is available in the paid version. I figured no problem, I'll buy a month - if I like it I wouldn't mind picking up a recurring annual license. I get a lot of use out of the program and I have no issue with paying for software and compensating the developers for their work - seemed like a logical step if I was starting to outgrow the free version. I make the purchase, restart and... oops looks like I actually need some extension to do what I want. An extension that itself costs 3 times as much as Fusion. Very frustrating but at this point I've already bought the software and I just want to finish my project so I go ahead and start the 7 day trial...only to find that since local simulation was removed completely, doing any sim at all requires you to buy cloud tokens (tokens which did not seem to come with the simulation extension I just activated). These tokens also have a minimum buy of $300 and for no reason at all expire after 1 year.

Why? Why are there so many additional hidden things to buy that aren't made known until you've already purchased the previous step that itself claimed to do the thing you wanted?

Why is this (and many other items that appear to also have corresponding extensions and anything other than the most basic features behind additional paywalls) shown on the website under "What's Included" for the paid license at $545 yearly?

Why does the feature matrix show full "Comprehensive" support for all of these items under the $545 price point, when that clearly isn't true? Maybe it's specified under the in-depth comparison you say? Nope - feature by feature these are listed as being included at that price while in reality are locked behind additional charges with zero indication. This page is an outright lie in my opinion.

What did I even pay for when I bought the full license? A few teaser features and the opportunity to spend additional money to get the stuff I actually wanted? Very disappointed in this experience.
