Incoming wall of text! Warning warning! Wall of text incoming! If you don't want to read it all I will make a TL;DR down at the bottom.
Long ago before equestria was unified and the celestial diarchs a mere glint in their father's eye, there were the necromancers. A loosely organized group of dark magic practitioners. They were ruled by the three skeleton lords from the kingdom of the deadlands and were truely a powerful force to be reconed with. That is until two pony princesses came into play. Almost overnight the desdlands were destroyed. Great necromancer towers and fortresses sundered and razed to the ground all of the necromancers put to the sword. All except one. One necromancer who survived by, at the moment of his beheaded throwing himself into a clone he had made in his hidden chamber. The clone lay dormant for thousands of years before it was ready. Suddenly the magical giant burial urn cracked open and out came a very stange earth pony. Mane and tail as black as tar, eyes dark voids with two pin pricks of unholy purple light, skin and fur a sickly pale color. However the most striking feature were the extra magical bones on the outside of his body. A second spiked spine runing down his back, ribs around his chest lime armor, and bone plates around his fetlocks. The last necromancer had risen once again in his prime. All the world could feel it. And the world itself trembled with fear. Or perhaps that was an earthquake.
Hey there! Bet you had fun getting through that mess. TL;DR: Ancient necromancer comes back to fuck with Celestia after she killed him.
I also have several other plots if MLP isn't your thing or we can adapt this to a standard fantasy setting.
