Wall of text warning

It's a tale as old as time really. People with super powers become the norm. Wether it be mutants, aliens, magic, money, or some turn of fate with a radioactive spider. One way or another Supers start popping up everywhere.

Heros emerge. Fighting crime and dishing out justice for all. It's all over the news, the biggest name heros being hailed and awarded but even the small time heros making local news. Heros are ranked in a full government system based on power and number of crimes stopped along with public approval. Now adays heros are falling over eachother to stop crimes

Truely everyone is happier in this new Hero laden world.

Except for Riley. Riley is pissed. You see he was given powers yes. The power of stage magic made real. Floating in the air, controling cards of all sorts and being able to make them fly around and harden, making great smoke explosions from his hands, a magic hat that lets him create a portal to any place that he could see. Yet with all of this his shows got less and less attendees. What with all the free fights they could see between heros and villains.

So he was shunted to the side. Forced to work on the streets as a street magician worker for spare change. Yet even that proved too little. So he decided to make a change.

He spent all his money on the best magician's suit and mask he could get and he decided to make a career change. He would be a villain and he would steal the spotlight back from those who would take it from him.

Even if he has to start by fighting D-list and C-list heros he would make a name for himself as the most elusive and most powerful villain of the world worthy of the S-rank heros that were only called for the big things.

And it would all start with a jewel heist.
