Without delving into manga spoilers TOO much, is it worth getting excited for season 3?

Post Body

I’m an anime-only that absolutely loved Season 1. The first 13 episodes are close to perfection. The next arc wasn’t great but the final episode was once again perfect imo.

My brother introduced me to the show and he told me to not watch season 2 since it’ll ruin everything I loved about season 1. (Which was bawling and getting mini bouts of depression every other episode)

I remember also checking this subreddit around that time and people were VERY down on the manga.

So my question is: has it gotten better? More specifically, does it seem like the storyline is headed towards a satisfying conclusion with strong emotional beats akin to season 1 of the anime?? Also I heard that season 2 removed all stakes in a way whatever that means… are there decent enough stakes again?

Because if season 1 was a 9.5/10 even if the final arc is an 8/10 I’ll get excited to continue the story.
