Since the pandemic, there’s been a surge of Karens berating veterinary staff over the dumbest shit. I had one woman last year argue that her cats didn’t need the rabies vaccine because her cats don’t go outside (it’s required by state law especially when traveling between states) and had to explain it’s required by state law and rabies is a fatal disease that can affect her pets and herself because it’s transmittal between species if bitten by another animal affected.
Like the shear common sense goes right out the window over simple instructions such as post-surgery when we say to keep the cone on at all times during the healing process and immediately takes it off or trying to demand medication to be filled right then and there when asked to give at least 24 hour notice for the doctor to authorize it. Of course can’t forget the most important thing… nail trims especially when the pet is aggressive and muzzled 🤦🏿♂️🙃
