We had a Kevin and Karen, our next door neighbors one point. Kevin asked my husband if he could use his electric lawn edger to dig a hole. My husband refused and politely told him that an edger is not designed to dig a hole in the ground only neaten edges of lawn for esthetics. Using it to dig would break it. Husband offered his shovel but couldn't offer to help as he had a busy schedule.

Those neighbors didn't like being told. Since then they've been rude and passive aggressive to us.

Then they didn't want visitors parking on the street. And gave a big stink. He even put a homemade "Do not park" sign that got ignored. He was laughed at by the neighbors.

Then he called the cops. The cops explained to him that it's public property and as long as his driveway is not blocked, anyone can park there and he needs to deal with it. He tried to even blame my husband and his nephew who visited us often and parked there for harassment. Kevin's definition of harassment is nephew ignoring his sign and for some reason nephew parking there was bothering him. After questioning, the cops told him off and gave them a warning of harassment. And cops told us if we feel threatened or harassed by neighbor.

Neighbors then shut the fuck up. But grumbled about cops incompetence of not doing their job.

Such entitlement! Apparently these guys had problems with others too.
