Yes. I know the answer is yes before I ask the question, but I’ll ask it anyway. Maybe you could do me the honour of listing some things you think are all hip and new and are actually a smidge on the old side (especially when your adult children look at you like “are you for real?”)

1) cell phones (I used to think that taking my cordless into the...wait for it...wait for it...DRIVEWAY...was super Jetsons’esque special!

2) books on your phone?

3) ANYTHING on your cellular phone (like even aeroplane tickets.)

4) music on your phone and I mean like albums upon albums of great music that fits on this little thing I’m typing to you on?! And now the vinyls are so expensive....

5) computers. Yeah we held out until 1994 to get one. The kids in school NEED them now (even the first graders?! Wha?????)

6) the pleasant feeling that all of your idols are growing older with you, but since they are your idols — some are having the audacity to actually die 😞

7) you take care of your parents just as much as you take care of your children.

8) you go to your children for advice.

9) aren’t we still in the 80s?

10) weren’t the 60s like 20 years ago?
