My best friend and I watched the 2001 series in high school, and since she moved back to my city we've started watching 2019 together (2nd time for me and 1st for her).

So my question is: Hatori is still blind in one eye in the 2019 version, right? I'm used to the manga more than anything, so I didn't think much of his appearance in 2019 until she pointed out that one of his eyes was a different shade in 2001. I'm assuming that they just aligned his character design more with the manga?

It was really memorable to her because she had a boyfriend at the time who was blind in one eye and his eyes were different shades. It was forgettable for me, obviously. Makes me wonder why they even made the physical change in 2001.
