I have nobody to talk about this so these are my thoughts:
-Generally it was fine, nothing groundbreaking and I think it its a bit redundant with most of the topics the original manga touches (bad parenting, feeling worthless because of it, the need to please people and apologize constantly, finding reasons to live on the people you love, etc).
-Sawa was a fine character, not much to say about her. I even think her conflict with her mother could have been explored a bit more deeply, but fine i guess.
-The relationship between Hajime and Mutsuki was quite funny and nice to see considering their parents history.
-The best thing about Another probably is everything regarding Shiki and their parents (specially Akito herself and how she deals with all the shit she did in the original manga), that was a very interesting thing to dive into, I like how he doesn't like to be a stranger to what his mother did and he, on his time, wants to be sociable with the rest of the Sohma. His relationship with Sawa was ok, predictable at times but it has some nice moments.
-I think it was a bit lazy how similar the kids are to their parents, I get its easier for Takaya and her assistants to draw characters that are pretty similar to characters they already knew how to draw, but imo Hajime, Mutsuku, Riku and Shiki are literally clones of their parents and tbh I didn't like that. Same happens with the personality of most of them, except for Sora (my favorite character in this by far) and Chizuru. I felt that could be improved upon.
-For this same reason most characters in here didn't really have an impact on me unlike in the original story. Not a shocker and maybe this story isn't supposed to do that, but I guess I'd like that.
-This one is really personal and probably a hot take: Another made me realize I don't like Takaya's drawing style, specially regarding how she draws men faces and eyes (I feel she sometimes has a same face syndrome and this can even be seen in the anime when you compare how Hatori, Kazuma, Katsuya, Kureno and Shigure look). I don't draw so its probably unfair to judge, but I think I don't find her drawing style specially appealing, even if I compare to other shojo mangakas (like Yazawa).
That's it, feel free to disagree.
