Post Body

28M single here, living in a downtown area with lots of young professionals. Every week, I usually cook myself my own food on Monday's, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. On Thursdays, Fridays, and the weekend, I go usually on dates, happy hours, and hang out with friends.

I have realized that I really hate doing this. I don't want to spend this much on bars and dining out. This is around 10% of my monthly income. Like WTF! How do you guys stick to a tight budget for something like this and still go out there and make friends and go on dates?

Any tips on how to prevent this in the future and to start living below my means is appreciated.
