What is the cheapest way to file taxes? TaxACT, H&R Block at Home, TurboTax, or just get a professional do it for you?
Post Body

I also get really confused with the differences between all the different editions. For example: Free Edition, Deluxe, and Ultimate (for TaxACT).

I am not eligible for VITA.

Relevant information:

  • Need to file both Federal and California
  • W2 form indicates > $50k
  • Single
  • Do not own property or have a mortgage
  • A few dozen stock transactions
  • Have a health savings account, IRA, 401k

Thanks!

Edit: Most "free" options are not available to me. See relevant information above.
