Post Body

I'll be moving to the states in a few months and am looking for the best option for transporting my stuff. I will be flying.

I need to move lots of clothes, a desktop computer and many textbooks. Shipping with Canada Post is ridiculously expensive. I had planned on shipping my PC anyway, but for the rest of the stuff, would it just be best to bring it all with me as checked baggage or is there a cheaper alternative?

Checked baggage usually runs about 25 bucks for the first bag, 40 for the second, and about 100 for each bag afterwards. Usually they have a limit of 50 lbs/bag or you pay extra. Is there a cheaper alternative that you folks might be able to suggest?
