I'm sick and tired of buying nicer cheeses and breads just for them to start molding within a a few days to a week.
EDIT: yes, keeping Velveeta in the fridge will make it last longer -_-
I typically buy 2-4 kinds of ..... "Craft" cheese (Fontina, Chardonnay, butter Krause, and a Random)
I usually put each in it's own Ziploc bag with the wax on .... And yes I put it in the fridge.
I usually buy the bread from the bakery section at Kroger etc, like 1/2 a loaf.
I have 2 9 month olds and they don't care for "fancy" cheese or bread.
