The saddest part of Frozen, unexplained.
Post Body

After the King and Queen die in the shipwreck, we are shown the image of a memorial(or funeral) for them. But only Anna attends. Why?

In the last section of "Do you want to build a snowman?" entails, Anna explains that everyone in the kingdom wants to know where Elsa has gone to - which I think references what I am getting at, but I still think its strange.

Elsa is driven by fear. At least from what we see in the movie, she doesn't blame her parents for putting her into hiding, otherwise there wouldn't be a coronation ceremony at all. In fact, (I think) it's Elsa's deepest desire to not necessarily be normal, but to interact with her family normally (Hence, why she builds Olaf first when she runs away - she misses her sister). I thought it would have been a nice touch to see them both there, but so distant a part (maybe even Anna goes to touch/say something, but Elsa just walks away). I just think it is odd that someone who still honors tradition, someone who desires to be a part, that she wouldn't have thrown on the gloves and at least attended. Or was her grief and fear too much in a "now what?" mindset too strong?

I've done a little searching online but can't find anything. Are there any theories as to why Elsa didn't attend her parents memorial/funeral?
