In the Republic of Centroamérica there are a few key factions within government. There are the liberals, the conservatives, and the reactionaries. The current Presidente, Morazán, is of the liberal faction. He has established a policy of 'liberalization' in the post-Spanish American state, changing the autocratic monarchy colonial state to a liberal and civilised Republic. In order to do this, Morazán would have to limit the powers of the old nobility from Spain, the Dons. The Dons still had considerable power within the Republic as a pass over from the monarchy, with major influences in government and in the economy. To rectify this issue, Morazán has begun a period of educational reform within the Republic. Previously the curriculum of the colonies had been focused primarily on Spain and on Spanish history, this has been changed with a nationalistic educational system. Here are the following changes.

Old Curriculum

• Spanish Literacy
• Spanish History
• Mathematics
• Reading

New Curriculum

• Spanish Literacy
• Republican History (Study of modern day Republics)
• Mathematics
• Reading
• Civics Class (Study of civics and responsibility to the state)
• Woodcraft/Scout Federation (Outdoors and survival skills that aims to support young people)

Once these changes take place, the schooling system will be replaced with a grade system based on age.

Year Levels

• Year 7 (first year)
• Year 8 (second year)
• Year 9 (third year)
• Year 10 (fourth year)
• Year 11 (fifth year)
• Year 12 (sixth year)
• Year 13 (seventh year)

Children will start at age 7, then end at age 13. This is to give children the vital knowledge they need to help provide for the Republic, as well as being able to provide to their family. The finish at age 13 is to make sure that children are able to work and bring in an income.
