I’ve been learning frontend on my own for over two months. I decided to look into online communities for networking purposes. I get the vibe that frontend development is NOT seen as real programming. I even heard a streamer say I don’t care how to center a div bro.
A lot of these communities focus on languages like Java, Go and Rust. A lot of emphasis on LeetCode problems, algorithms and data structures. It’s kind of frowned upon if you don’t use VIM.
I guess I care because my stretch goal is to work for a FAANG company. I don’t know a lot about the interview process but sounds like you need LeetCode for entry level SWE positions.
