[MODPOST] 4-26 Happenings

Post Body

On 4-25, I was permitted to begin assisting /u/Legoasaurus in the running of this subreddit. I will do my best to provide an entertaining experience for everyone.

I have access to the resource map and will provide exploration results. If you have an exploration post that is from 4-23 or older and have not been responded to yet, please send a modmail.

I will be messaging you from now on when research undertakings are completed. Please only use the research tag for technologies with the potential for tangible or mechanical benefits. Please do not use this if you are designing a menu for a tavern. (Looking at you, /u/ludikun ;p )

For the sake of improving the flow of the game, we will begin using the time table I proposed this past weekend. I will see what I can do about throwing together a calendar as well as a timebot, though these may take until the weekend for me to get to.

We will not be expanding into any fantasy elements for the foreseeable future, probably never. We've progressed far enough in their absence that any sort of retcon would likely derail the entirety of this game.

I presently lack any sort of global map. So humorously enough, I do not know the size of the planet, nor do I know whether the world is round or flat. I do not know what hemisphere we are in either. I will consult /u/Legoasaurus to acquire this information.

/u/supacharjed has decided to withdraw from the game.

The political map has been updated.

I am also considering a couple of options for improving the wiki. Please give me some feedback.

  1. A stickied thread in which people can request page uploads as well as edits.
  2. Individualized permissions on player-specific pages so that they may make edits independently of administrators. e.g.: /u/bevroren would have access to pages about Nerix and the Guildhouses.
  3. I'd like to recruit one or two trustworthy, responsible individuals to oversee the wiki. I can only do so much at a time.

Thanks all!
