The Priest Knows Too Much: My Theory on His Role in FROM

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I'm super into the TV series FROM! It's not available here, so I’ve been watching it through VPN. Anyway, I’ve got this wild theory about the priest 'cause there's definitely something off about him. And sorry in advance if my language is a little off—just here for the vibes and thoughts!

“You ever wondered if Abby was right?” There's something seriously unsettling about the priest. It's like he's not just some passive character; I feel like he’s connected to everything that’s happening in the town. There’s this eerie sense that he knows more than he lets on, Remember that moment when he passed the blood to Boyd? or maybe he knows a lot more about the creatures and the curse than he’s revealing. Maybe he’s part of the mystery itself, or even worse.

What if the priest is a key to understanding the deeper horrors of this place, and his role isn't about salvation but something far darker? Maybe he’s even connected to the source of the nightmares, or has a connection to the creatures themselves.

She tells him, “He (God) was the one that let my baby fall off that changing table” She makes no mention of the baby’s gender at all, just refers to it as her baby. But when the priest follows her out of the confessional, he asks her, “What was his name, your child, the one you lost, what was his name?” How did he know it was a boy? She never mentioned it, and yet he knew.

I've seen other posts where people are skeptical about whether Tabitha is in the real world, but this seals the deal for me. The priest knowing the gender of Tabitha's child without her telling him is just too strange to be a coincidence. It’s almost as if he’s got some kind of insight or supernatural knowledge, maybe something tied to the otherworldly forces at play in the town. This makes me think the priest is far more involved in the town’s horrors than we’ve been led to believe. He’s not just another character; he could very well be someone who understands, or even controls, the twisted reality they’re all trapped in.
