Yes WE know she isn’t but they have every reason to assume she is and they all in fact pretty much have. Why are they all so accepting? No tears shed.. I’m sure its just a writing choice and maybe their using tian-Chens death as an outlet to avoid accepting their own mothers likely passing. But it seems odd to me- I’ve only watched up to the second episode of the third season but it seems as though Jim got over finding Tabitha pretty quick after finding food. It also annoys the F*CK out of me that he left his two kids alone no one even really watched ethen he wanders around the town on his own which, for a kid that age isn’t normal to allow in a regular healthy day to day world let alone a horror show like fromville??
