A few years back I was deep in the friendzone with this girl. I had a crush on her from day one and she knew it, however over the two years we knew each other, I never got anywhere with her. At first this situation was very frustrating and I wanted to try and prove that I was one of the guys and could get with her. As time passed and with her clever way of dripping little bits of hope here and there; teasing, flirting and physical contact, I fell into being her simp.

After a while, I would get phone calls late at night with her asking to be picked up from nights out because she didn't want to take a taxi home alone. Or, asking if she could stay over at mine as it was close by and a shorter journey. I think she knew I couldn't say "No" to her. Plus, her staying over meant we would share a bed and we got to spoon, which I was very eager for of course!

She loved the cuddling, closeness and feeling of security. I was so happy to provide that for her!
