High Altitude Vacation

Post Body

Hello! My (me, the dog mom) birthday is in July and I have a week off of work. I live in Dallas, Texas but am considering a leisurely drive (to give my frenchie lots of breaks from the car) to possibly Denver, CO or Breckinridge, CO as I hear both locations are quite dog friendly. But was sort of concerned about the altitude and how my frenchie would adjust.

I do like to hike but would likely get a dog backpack to carry him on my back as I don't expect my frenchie to last longer than 30ish min on a hike. I can adjust to his physical boundaries as it pertains to being active, but obviously altitude isn't something I can control so wanted to see if any of you have thoughts or live in high altitudes?

Also any dog friendly recommendations for those locations are appreciated and welcome. Thank you!
