I can seem to ever get these words at all and I've looked them up multiple times but sadly I just don't understand them when they are used.

These words for me are:

Or - I know it means gold but when I watch some French stuff I usually hear Or at the beginning of a sentence and that makes no sense to me. So can someone please tell me if Or has another meaning please and what it is ?

D'ailleurs - I come in contact with this word quite often. I looked it up and it says it means besides but can someone please tell me what this word actually means because how it's used is so different.

Par rapport à - I know it's not a word but a locution. I really I'm not sure what this one means does it means in relation ?

Face à/vis-à-vis- I don't understand why but these words don't ,ale sense when I translate them. Face to and see to see. I dam jet know but can someone please clarify what these mean please ?
